Now is the time of year when you might see a swarm of bees. Eric Debenham on 01379 898535 has some nice new homes for them and will even pay a reward for a successfully captured swarm!

"Sing Your Heart Out" CD

The children of the school have recorded a collection of 10 songs, including ‘St Botolph's’ and ‘A Christmas Song’, written by one of the parents, and with the help of some talented villagers have produced a CD.

Freddie Debenham 1926 - 2004. Updated - 24/8/04

Many of you know Freddie at the Old Mill House and get your plants and hanging baskets there. Recently you may well have seen that we have been closed. It is with regret I now have to inform you that Freddie passed away on Wednesday 18th August.

The funeral will be at St.Mary's Church Rickinghall at 11am on Tuesday 31st August, and afterwards at Rickinghall village hall. Everyone who knew Freddie and would like to come are welcome. Flowers or donations to Cancer Research care of Rackhams Funeral Services, Stanley Road, Diss.

Botesdale has Broadband! 2/6/04

At last. It is finally here. The Botesdale exchange (Everyone with a 01379 89xxxx) number can now get broadband. The first activations should be happening in the next few days. For more information see the message boards in the Broadband section.

Village Web site 1/6/04

The village web site seems as popular as ever. We are now averaging over 3000 hits a month, with the Businesses and For Sale pages consistently proving amongst the most popular. It was nice to see some visitors tracing their ancestors leave a message on the message board - and congratulate us on getting broadband!

St.Mary's Church - To be declared redundant 22/11/03

There is a meeting in the Mission Room, Redgrave on Thursday Dec 11th at 7.30pm so that the Parochial Church Council (PCC) can present to you the reasons why they wish to approach the Churches Conservation Trust with a view to them taking on the responsibility of the parish church of St Mary's. Please return the slip on the bottom of your letter to one of the addresses if you wish to attend.
